My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Welcome to our special Holiday Edition of the Templar Times! We’ve officially come to end of 2007 and what a great year it has been!
One year ago, I had reached a moment in my life where I felt it was time to make a big decision. I had been writing and developing the Templar universe for almost 12 years. I was becoming more and more frustrated with the idea that none of these great stories would ever see the light of day.
The story was just too large and too big to do independently and I was faced with the knowledge that I would need a major studio backing me up if I ever wanted to see these films completed. I decided to scale things down and do a "side story" that centers on a couple of my most intriguing characters. Inspired by my love for "spaghetti" westerns and the idea of melding that genre with science fiction, I started writing a treatment for what would become Templar: Honor Among Thieves. Although it was a much more intimate story with a more compact look at the universe I had been developing for so many years, it proved to be just as ambitious as everything I had written.
Thirteen days ago, I completed the second draft of the script. It was a monumental day for me because I had finished what I had set out to do for 2007. But as I reflect on the year I realize we accomplished so much more.
I have the privilege of leading a team of some of the most dedicated and imaginative individuals I have ever had the pleasure to know. Their efforts have paved the way for 2008 to be a year of expectation. As I toasted their efforts at a small Christmas party we had earlier this month, I realized just how blessed I really am. God has assembled me the team I need to make this dream a reality. And it is the greatest gift I could have ever hoped for at the end of this awesome year.
My thanks to all of the Templar team. Special thanks to my beautiful wife Sylvia for all your love, prayers and support. And thanks to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who is and always will be the greatest gift this world could have ever received.
Merry Christmas to you all! See you in 2008...

Fighting Stunts Association and Action Film Institute hosted our first Screen Fighting Workshop and Action Film Audition event earlier this month and the turnout was nothing short of phenomenal.
Grandmaster Wonik Yi was on hand to personally instruct potential cast members from all over the US. We had people from Texas, New York, Arizona, Ohio and Missouri come to audition for the film and receive some fighting/martial arts training.
Over the weekend we auditioned over 90 different applicants. Each of them brought their own unique approach to the characters and we were blown away by the physical stunt performances. We are currently still in the process of reviewing the auditions but we are pleased to announce a few of our winners:
Paul Michael Bloodgood -
The Bounty Hunter
Although Paul was cast before the audition event, it is only fitting to take this opportunity to officially announce the role he was selected for. Paul will be playing the role of the mysterious masked bounty hunter. His strong physical acting background in ballet is what prompted the decision.
Paul has also signed on to assist with the production of the film. His dedication and discipline are some of the great qualities that led to him being selected for the role.
Yesenia Garcia -
Gwinn Jolaroo
Yesenia first showed us her level of dedication by attending our workshop despite the fact that she had just flown in from New York.
Her audition was nothing short of phenomenal! She was able to give so much life and fiestiness to the role that our panel momentarily broke protocol and gave her a hearty round of applause. Her audition was the landmark performance of the entire weekend. Yesenia will be playing Gwinn Jolaroo, our femme fatale.
Chance Hartman -
Brine
Chance was actually the only person who came in to read for the role of Cain. His approach to the unique dialect for the character was superb! It is rare for a performance to really influence a director, but Chance did just that. I was inspired by his audition to make a few changes to the character of Brine, specifically in his style of dialect. This allowed me the privilege of casting Chance in the role of Brine.
Stunt Performers
Overall it was very difficult to select our stunt performers. Each brought his or her own style and discipline. Although we are still making our final selections, here are a few that will be cast in our film:
Gabriel Peña
Chris Tong
Vikram Doddi
Micheal Brito-Rodriguez
O.C. Ono
More selections and call backs will be announced soon. We thank each and every one of you who came out to audition!
Innovative Renderworx is proud to announce the addition of two more important team members to our growing art department.
Sam Treadway has signed on as our Environmental & Architectural Concept Artist. Some of Sam's previous work includes CG Effects, Motion Graphic Design and 3D Animations for commercial television, Multimedia Interactive Presentations, Architectural and Product Visualization and Graphic Design for print and web. He has also worked with several video game development studios as a 3D artist, effects artist, world builder and technical designer. He is creative director and co-producer on two animated short films currently in pre-production.
Sam has already begun work on Templar: Honor Among Thieves. The artwork featured above is one of his initial concepts for Othin Zanagi's compound and the center of operations for the infamous Red Sun criminal syndicate on the bleak world of Xulagra.
Matt Poitras has signed on as our primary Costume and Prop Designer. Matt's unique eye for detail has enabled him to create and cast armor in materials such as resin and leather as well as design a number of accurate weapon props. Whether its creating exact replicas of armor from the films Gladiator and 300, or casting weapons and firearms, Matt has a great deal of passion for what he does. And it shows in the level of detail he adds to each of his projects.
For Templar: Honor Among Thieves, Matt will begin creating the costume for the bounty hunter in early 2008. He will also begin preliminary work on some of the new and exciting weapons that will be used in the film.
