Happy New Year and welcome to another edition of the Templar Times! Various cast and crew members for Templar: Honor Among Thieves gathered together this past weekend to meet and greet for the first time as we went over many of the exciting things we have planned for 2008. Many of our team members outside Austin were unable to attend, but they each sent their best wishes and expressed their enthusiasm for having the honor of being onboard. The meeting truly helped me realize that these awesome and talented people are truly a

team assembled by God and I thank Him with all my heart for giving me the privilege to work with them. Things are really ramping up fast and it is only a matter of time before we have our finances in place to begin this unique and special journey together. To all of my cast and crew: Keep fit, Keep healthy, and Keep praying! Love you guys!

- Rene Hinojosa - Director | CEO Innovative Renderworx

Please be sure to familiarize yourself with the character you are reading. You will be given a brief opportunity to ask questions before your reading. If you have a martial art or stunt demo you will be given the opportunity to present it right after your reading.

If you are auditioning for a non-speaking role, please have a monologue, martial arts or stunt demo, or an improvisation prepared. Example: If you are auditioning for a bartender, it might be wise to prepare a short acting sample for your audition that involves the character of a bartender. Once again, WE WILL NOT AUDITION ANYONE WHO IS NOT PREPARED.

Paul Michael Bloodgood - The Bounty Hunter

Paul will be playing the role of the mysterious masked bounty hunter. His strong physical acting and his background in ballet is what prompted the decision to cast him in the lead role. His dedication and discipline are some of the great qualities that led to him being selected. Paul has started martial arts and stunt training under Janell Smith and Master Ali of FightingStunts in Austin.

Yesenia Garcia - Gwinn Jolaroo

Yesenia will be playing daring and resourceful Gwinn Jolaroo. Her natural beauty, strong acting talent and feisty attitude all came together during her audition to secure her the coveted role of our femme fatale. Yesenia has already committed to martial arts and stunt training in New York during our preproduction phase.

Garret T. Sato - Azrael

Garret has officially been cast as the ruthless mercenary known as Azrael. His strong acting and physical presence more than qualified him for the role. A professional in every respect, Garret has a long history of hard work and dedication to his craft. He credits none other than Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa as being his mentor in life.

Chance Hartman - Brine

Chance not only secured the role of Brine but helped inspire the character's new dialect and persona. His strong improvisation and great sense of comic overtones breathed new life into the freelance smuggler. A student of stage combat and stunt work, Chance is primed and ready for his role in the film.
